The act of showing appreciation can have many positive results. An article in the Harvard Business Review suggests that valued team members are likely to feel like they belong, are appreciated, and supported. Below are some ways to show appreciation.

One of the most effective ways to show someone they are valued is by acknowledging their presence and worth. Doing this can be as simple as greeting them when they arrive at work or showing support and acknowledgment when they work extra hours.

You can also show care for your teammates' lives outside of their job. This action will show your co-worker that having a healthy work-life balance is good. Finally, have a sincere interest in your teammate's success. You can do this by congratulating your co-workers on receiving a new reward or applauding them when they complete a challenging task.
